How long does a full siding replacement take?
Most single-family homes in the Portland metro take one to two weeks. Larger homes, complex rooflines, and significant dry rot repair extend that. You get a schedule up front and an update at the end of each work day.
Do I have to move out during siding replacement?
No. Siding work happens entirely from the outside. You will hear the crew and should plan to keep windows closed on tear-off days, but your home stays livable throughout.
Can you replace just one section of siding instead of the whole house?
Yes — that is siding repair, and we do plenty of it. But if the failure is widespread, or the existing product has been discontinued, a partial replacement can leave you with a visible patchwork and a wall assembly that is only partly protected. We will tell you honestly which one your home needs.
What happens if you find dry rot after tear-off?
We photograph it, price the repair against the allowance already in your quote, and get your written approval before proceeding. Finding rot is normal in the Northwest; hiding it or silently billing for it is not how we work.
